The
Irish Setter Rescue Group (Established 1968) 'Together we look after our own' Who are we?
We are a Rescue Group for Irish Setters, founded in 1968 and registered as
aCharitable Trust in 2008, we operate throughout the U.K. and Ireland - you
will find us listed in the Kennel Club Rescue Directory and likewise
publications. We depend on donations to run our rescue, not financially
supported by any Breed Club or Society, so we have to raise all our own
funds. The Rescue is run the fourTrustees, a Working Group of 12 people,
some very special volunteers and we are fortunate to get lots of support and
help from Irish Setter owners all over the country - help that we need and
appreciate very much. We are pleased to workwith other rescue organisations
who need help with rehoming any of our breed. Our remit is to take in any
Irish Setter in need of our help - to get veterinary treatment for them when
necessary, to rehome them in suitable, loving homes and to monitor their
progress in their new homes, until we are satisfied that all is well and
both dog and owner are happy. Our aim is to continue to keep in touch with
all our owners throughout the lifetime of the Setter we give them, to help
and advise the owners if problems arise and to take back into our care any
of the dogs we place, should this become necessary at any time. All the
Setters who come into our care are kennelled either at Ladybird Kennels in
Ingatestone Essex or at
