CLANCY
Clancy is about 15 months old, an entire small Setter from the working side of our breed. He is good traveller and loves a cuddle. He has come to us from Ireland and needs good fencing in a secure and good sized garden as he likes to roam if given the opportunity. He proved to be too much for his first owners who passed him on to equally unsuitable people unable to cope with a young Irish Setter dog and probably without much knowledge of the breed. A lady with grounds of 48 acres then took him on but with no fences he just kept going AWL as any self respecting young Setter would. Because he has not had a settled home his training has been sadly neglected so someone who is willing and able to train him is a must. Too boisterous for young children he would be alright with teenagers. We are looking for a home where someone is home during the day and has had experience of owning a young Irish Setters dog.
If you think that this handsome small setter is right for you please phone 01787 248143 or e-mail info@irishsetterrescue.org.uk

MURPHY

My name is Murphy and I am 3 years old. I have recently been castrated. I have a strong personality and would like a home with people who understand Irish Setters and their needs. I want a home on my own without other animals and although I don't dislike children I would rather be the only one. I want an active life with something to do all day. I am very clever and if my new owners would like to take me to obedience classes I will show them what I can do. I do not want to be on my own all day and would like my new owners to be active enough for my needs. I need a large garden and a place where there are plenty of fields to run and play. If you think that you have the right home for me please phone Maureen on 01787 248143 or e-mail info@irishsetterrescue.org.uk.

Grouse

Grouse is a
mature
gentleman of
between 8
and 9 years.
He is from
Ireland and
from the
working
strain. He
wondered
into a
lady's
garden a
couple of
weeks ago.
He was very
thin,
friendly and
needing some
TLC. This
kind lady
fed him for
a day or two
but, could
not keep him
as she had
dogs of her
own. The
Limerick
Animal
Welfare took
him in and
did all the
necessary.
He is now
ready to be
re-homed and
we are
looking for
a home with
a large well
fenced
garden and
someone who
will
appreciate
owning this
lovely
setter. Just
look at his
picture and
see how
proudly he
stands - he
knows that
he is a king
of dogs, an
Irish
Setter.
He walks
well on a
lead, and
wants to be
a loving
companion to
someone. He
would suit
retired
people
without
young
children
pulling him
about.
I am sure
that he
would make a
good
companion
for a spayed
bitch of
similar age.

the boy for
